For the delivery of our newsletter or similar information, we collect personal data that is transmitted to us via an input mask. For effective registration, we require a valid email address. Reach measurement

Reach measurement is used to evaluate visitor flows to our online offering and may include behaviour, interests or demographic information about visitors as pseudonymous values. With the help of reach analysis, we can, for example, identify at what times our online offering or its functions or content are used most frequently or invite reuse. We can also identify which areas need to be adapted.

We use the locally installed analysis tool Matomo (formerly Piwik) for reach measurement, without cookies. With the help of this tool, we evaluate user behaviour locally on the server. Matomo does not collect the data itself, but accesses the web server’s database. The web server shortens each requesting IP address before storing it in the log file. This means that the database is sufficiently anonymised and no conclusions can be drawn about individual persons. The storage period is 6 months.

Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest. We use technical service providers for the operation and maintenance of our website, who act as our processors.

Use of the Matomo tracking tool based on cookies

We use Matomo (formerly Piwik) on this website, an open source software for statistical analysis of visitor traffic. If you have given your consent, Matomo uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is stored on a server. We have configured Matomo so that no profiling takes place. Matomo is used for the purpose of improving the quality of our website and its content. This tells us how the website is used and enables us to continuously optimise our offering.

The IP address is anonymised immediately after processing and before storage by truncating the last two bytes.

For more information on the privacy settings of the Matomo software, please visit the following link: https://matomo.org/docs/privacy/.

The legal basis for this data processing is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. We use technical service providers who act as our processors for the operation and maintenance of our website and for the evaluation of cookies.

The data is deleted or anonymised as soon as it is no longer required for our recording purposes. In our case, this happens automatically after 6 months.

You can revoke your consent in the cookie consent tool for the future.

You also have the option of generally preventing cookies from being stored; see the information on cookies below.

Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use so-called ‘cookies’. Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. This automatically provides us with certain data, such as your IP address, the browser you are using, your operating system and your connection to the internet.

Cookies cannot be used to start programmes or transfer viruses to a computer. The information contained in cookies enables us to make navigation easier for you and to ensure that our web pages are displayed correctly.

Under no circumstances will the data we collect be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent. Of course, you can also view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are usually set to accept cookies. In general, you can deactivate the use of cookies at any time via your browser settings. Please use the help functions of your internet browser to find out how to change these settings. Please note that individual functions of our website may not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

SSL encryption

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

Social plugins

On our website, we offer you the option of using so-called ‘social media buttons’ that lead to personal profiles. To protect your data, we use the ‘Shariff’ solution for implementation. This means that these buttons are only integrated into the website as graphics that contain a link to the corresponding website of the button provider. By clicking on the graphic, you will be redirected to the services of the respective providers. Only then will your data be sent to the respective providers. If you do not click on the graphic, there will be no exchange between you and the providers of the social media buttons. Information about the collection and use of your data in social networks can be found in the respective terms of use of the corresponding providers. More information about the Shariff solution can be found here: http://www.heise.de/ct/artikel/Shariff-Social-Media-Buttons-mit-Datenschutz-2467514.html

We have integrated the social media buttons of the following companies on our website:
