Between Worlds is a practice for creative therapies and coaching, offering tailor-made formats for individuals and groups, designed to support both personal and professional well-being and growth by opening creative pathways that help navigate challenges, inspire new perspectives, as well as reveal value and purpose with each unique journey. These formats are aimed at, though not limited to, those living and working between cultures, such as expats and their family members, returnees, or people working in or managing international teams. For many, the experience of bridging cultures, whilst deeply rewarding, can also be a tender and vulnerable way of living.

More broadly, the practice is open to all who wish to explore their inner landscapes and cultivate meaningful change in their relationship with themselves, their lives, the world, and others.

In this sense the name Between Worlds refers to the space not only between different cultures and cultural identities, but also between intra-, inter-, and transpersonal worlds. This in-betweeness, and the tangible exploration of these liminal spaces, is seen as a source from which healing, growth, and well-being can emerge.

My working approach weaves together dramatherapy and nature therapy, enriched with creative modalities such as art and dance, alongside systemic coaching.

Approach

Dramatherapy

Dramatherapy is the systematic and intentional use of theatrical means for growth, healing, and transformation. It is rooted in the ancient use of theatre and ritual in dramatic form for renewal, guidance, and well-being. At the very core of this creative, expressive, and embodied therapeutic modality is dramatic reality, which offers clients a uniquely safe yet highly stimulating space for exploration, experiential engagement, and reflection beyond the verbal level. It allows for the creative reconstruction of familiar patterns of behaviour and experience, enabling identity, relationships, and worldview to expand and transform. Due to so-called aesthetic distance, dramatherapy enables clients to interact with difficult experiences that might otherwise feel overwhelming. Thanks to a wide range of methods — employing the body, objects, and roles, and drawing on mythology, stories, dreams, biography, and more— sessions can be tailored to the needs of clients regardless of age. Dramatherapy has been used broadly in settings such as clinics and social work, as well as in professional fields such as team buildingDramatherapy does not require clients to have acting skills or previous theatre experience and can be practiced individually, with couples, or in group settings.

Nature Therapy

Nature therapy promotes well-being by deepening awareness of one’s connection with nature through experiential engagement with natural processes and the rediscovery of personal creative power. It emphasizes the profound experience of the human-nature bond through practices that incorporate mindfulness and creative expression. By engaging with and in nature, nature therapy strengthens awareness of inner and outer healing impulses, supporting the self in overcoming crises and blockages, and fostering restoration and renewal.

Unlike classical therapy methods, creative therapies focus on the healthy, resourceful aspects of personality, making them strengthening, solution-oriented, and growth-focused.

Systemic Coaching

Systemic coaching is a goal-, solution-, and resource-oriented approach that supports individuals or groups in clarifying their concerns or questions by exploring and engaging with the interplay of intra- and interpersonal dynamics.

Coaching empowers clients to expand their range of possibilities and to identify their own goals and pathways to solutions.

When combined with methods from the field of creative therapies, it unfolds in an experiential, embodied, and interactive way.

Systemic coaching can be conducted on an individual basis, with couples, or in group environments.
